ADGA Purebred and American saanens and BGS Guernseys
It's hard to have Saanens without having American Saanens too. I tried to get the herd down to just Purebreds and was very close last winter with only two American does left in the herd. At the end of December I was asked by a friend to purchase a group of goats to get them out of a bad situation. These does were all originally owned/bred by my friend and had been sold the spring before but were unfortunately not being taken care of. I could not say no and so on January 1st I added six more American does to the herd.
The next few years I am planning to buy bucks who will cross well with the bloodlines I have and help to tie all of my goats together to produce animals that will be more consistent in type and production.
